Caro Héroux

Caro is a screenwriter and a TV and Film producer. An avid reader, she was dishearten to see that her 10 year-old boy, Charles, hated to read. One day, she took him to a bookstore and offered to buy Charlie any book he wanted. But, an hour later, he still couldn't find one that appealed to him, and so Caro decided to write a 50-page story in which he was the main character. She put in writing what had happened to Charles at school a few days before with his friends, and did so with different fonts. She also added a few words in orange, Charles' favorite color, to make it more appealing to him.

Charles had had an argument with his older sister the week before, and had drawn a DO NOT ENTER! sign, with a skull, that he hung on his bedroom door. That gave Caro the idea for a "cover" page to her story. The following day, Charles was delighted to tell his mom how much he loved the story, but mentioned that she forgot to talk about a few things. That is how the mother/son collaboration started for the Do Not Enter! series! Together, not only have they captured the hearts of hundreds of thousands of young boys, but they also encourage them to love reading!

Caro has two kids, Catriona and Charles-Olivier, one super beautiful Old English Sheepdog, Shivers, and lives in Montreal, Canada.
